What's the golf-ball to cartridge exchange rate?

I have tried this with my potato cannon and 1.5"ID pipe will not accept a golf ball.

I have tried standard pvc drainage pipe and the thinwall pvc central vac pipe and neither fit golf balls. what type of pipe are you using? my father has thousands of old dingy golf balls from his days of working as a ranger at a golf course and we would love to be able to fire them out of a spudgun!

Yea, sch 40 and 80 won't fit a golf ball, the stuff I used was the same outer diameter of 1.5 inch sch 40, but a wider inner diameter. I haven't been able to find anybody that sells it. I just happened to find some scrap after someone had a sprinkler system installed in their yard. I have no idea what it is called, it just has a bunch of serial numbers along the side that don't seem to indicate anything important about it.

The three pictures I have show the breach of my gun with the golf ball in it, the golf ball over the muzzle, and the 1.5 sch 40 next to my muzzle (they are really the same size, but an optical illusion makes them look different).

And yes, shooting golf balls out of a potato gun is about as cool as it comes, I don't think I could go back to shooting actual potatoes or anything else!

I know a guy who is a sniper for the county SO SWAT. He routinly hangs golfballs at 100 yards and shoots at them. I asked him why once, his reply was "Golfball / Eyeball, same thing...."
