ive been around the block a few times, and i finally found my favorite snubbie pocket holster. mind you, i never spent more than $50.00 for one because its a hard item to move if you dont like it.......

so i try the safariland pocket holster and all i can say is wow! it is lighter than any leather one, it is not some cheapy nylon bulky holster.... it is not some blocky hard edge kydex one..... it is a type of kydex that is wrapped by suade. it is of minimal size and its shape is very discrete.......

i will post a pick if and when my digital takes a charge.

so whats your favorite and why?

i also ordered some comp 1 speed loaders. i find i can carry a speed loader as easy as a speed strip most of the time and the hks speed loaders, well they are low end.....i have one but dont like the rattling rounds that dont always line up right away....ect....

the very best

Robert Mika makes a simple pocket holster and to look at it you would not be very impressed. The thing is that it costs 15.95 and that includes shipping. I have a drawer full of holsters made by some of the best but, his round cut pocket holster beats them all hands down.

Here is his website address check it out and buy one you won't regret it and if you do let me know and I will buy it from you.

The round cut is the bottom picture.

i have two MIKAS and my only gripe is that the backbone area that covers the top of the revolver, rides so high, that it prints too much in my pocket.... i guess it is to cover the hammer? but it seems to be overly done..... in a coat pocket, MIKA wins, but in summer time shorts...... my new safariland has taken its place. it also has a more tappered bottom to slip in the pocket with out that tell tale wide bottom spread like the MIKA, i have the rounded and squated MIKA, but in the pocket they seem the same.

JERRY, does your Safariland holster have a model name/number? The pocket holsters I have (an Uncle Mike's nylon and a KO {XO?} Custom Gunleather allow the cylinder of my revo to print. Wearing loose trouser, it's not much of a problem, but I'd like to find a holster that covers the cylinder area.

here is what it has stamped in the suade on the back of the holster,

patented 1704
safariland
ontario, ca usa
see pkg label
for fit
25-01 s&w

it is their only pocket holster for snubbies that i know of.

it is a thin kydex? that is lined on the outside with suade? the front is flat while the back has the semi boning. it covers the trigger, the hammer and breaks up the cylinder pattern......yet this thing is really trim. and it was $25.00 or so.

im going to take a pic and try to attach it here.

file is too big. i can e-mail you the pick.

I've got a K&D for my S&W 340SC that includes the no-print feature. I like it very much. In fact, I now have a K&D for my Kahr PM40.

Two years ago RJ Hedley made me this holster.

It has been in my back pocket everyday since. I live in Florida and I clean carpets for a living. If I were RJ, I'd call it the EXTREME DUTY Pocket Holster. Every day I pull it out and wipe the sweat off the top portion of my 640 and marvel at how well my holster is holding up. It has lost a little color but needless to say I've never been "MADE" and it looks as if it's going to last many more years. One of the very best $50's I've ever spent!
Thanks RJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can;t imajime using any other holster for my 642. I did a write-up on it with pics. It is hands down the best.

Robert.

I have tried several. The one that works best for me is Sam Andrew's. It does not print, the rough side out leather grips the pocket fabric, for a smooth draw, and you can put it back in the holster without pulling it all out of your pocket. At $35, the price is good too.
