Wholly moly, just got an email from Cheaper than Dirt and they have Aguila 22LR ammo in. 500 rounds for a whopping $79.59......Ouch!

Respond and let them know, politely, what you think of the price and why you cannot buy at that price. ;)

My local Sportsmans Warehouse still had TAC on the shelf today along with some decent IMR powders. Due to availability my go to rifle powders are now IMR4895, H4895, and TAC. I was previously using Varget and CFE 223 but who knows when that stuff will pop up again.

I hope it rots on their shelves. Thats insane, yet someone will panic and buy it.

If anyone is looking for a Lee 4 hole classic turret press kit, they have some in stock at midwayusa.com . This is a slightly different kit than you find everywhere else but it has everything you need except the auto-disk powder measure riser. $219

= A REQUEST PLEASE =

Being a Californian (and a future non-Californian), I understand why some would have emotional feelings about CTD but the primary objective of this thread is help locating available reloading components and equipment for those who need them. So I politely ask that you shift your frustration/rant posts about CTD to other threads. Thank you.

I try to post available items "in stock" that are reasonably priced but sometimes have to post higher priced items simply because there is nothing else available.

Many may complain about $80/500 for .22LR sold by CTD, but if you check on GunBroker, $80/500 is not an unreasonable price and right now on GunBot the lowest priced .22LR ammo is priced at $139/500 (Yes, really) - http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/22lr/

On a short timeline, I tried to locate reloading equipment/components for 380Auto/9mm/45ACP for two ladies I am helping set up and while I was able to purchase single and progressive presses, bullets, brass (Thanks Walkalong!) and 9mm/45ACP dies at reasonable prices, I was not able to find 380Auto dies and ended up spending $50+ on ebay. I never thought I ever pay $50 for a set of Lee dies but strange times we live in and the current shortage trends may be the "new normal" for the forseeable future. :uhoh:

OK, back to helping others locate reloading components and equipment! :D

Here's another reality we may be facing (or already facing).

Some vendors accept "Backorders" which get filled when they receive new deliveries.

If the "Backorders" increase significantly in number, even though substantial amount of new inventories of stock are received by the vendors, they may not change any items to "In stock" until all the backorders are filled and there are items leftover.

But backordering reloading components that require HazMat fees create another problem. If you backorder two items that require HazMat fees and the backorders are not filled/shipped at the same time, you will be charged TWO separate HazMat fees.

New Cabela's grand opening tomorrow in Louisville. I have a buddy who got an invite to a pre-opening event today. Says they are fully stocked with powders, primers, dies, etc. I'm sure it won't last long. 5 box limit on ammo.

I have thought this might be happening, and will do a backorder on certain items. I have seen where some items will be out of stock and then be available for a brief amount of time. I figure if I put in a backorder, I might get the item when it shows up briefly.

Well, .22LR ammo are available. You just have to be willing to pay for them - http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/22lr/

Wow, I still can't believe the prices ... $139/500 for .22LR!

I'm sometimes a little nutty, but I'm NOT totally insane----yet.
The really insane thing is, they'll probably sell at those prices.

I'll pump up the pellet guns , before I'll pay that.
