Many many moons ago I worked on a .22 rifle that I wanted to free float the barrel. My brother-in-law had a barrel rasp that made the job go quickly vs. a dowel rod and sandpaper. I have another .22 rifle project I'd like to do the same thing on. However my brother-in-law parted with the barrel rasp long ago and I've surfed the Internet without any luck.

Does anyone know who sells these?

Borwnells, as mentioned above.

I think Midway also carries them www.midwayusa.com

Porter Cable makes a "profile sander" that has rounded tools, that will allow you to quickly sand out the channel, after the rough work is done with the rasp. Home Depot, et al, carries them

DD & tex_n_cal

That is exactly what I need! I kept looking for "barrel rasp" and I see those things are really called "barrel bedding tools". Thanks guys I'll be placing an order soon! :)
