I am looking for an orange vest with a camo pattern superimposed. Having a hard time. Would prefer not to buy from Ebay.

Does anyone know where I can find one? I have checked the usual online suspects and cant seem to find one.

Gander mountain is where I purchased mine this year. It was out of fleece so it did not make noise when I moved.

Does that 400square inches be all in one garment?
i know that in virginia the requirement is 100sq inches and is bet by a plain baseball cap

maybe you could wear the vest and cap together?

Has anyone ever had a warden measure your square inches of orange?

Try Covert Orange

If you want the camo pattern to break up the big signature of the vest - perhaps try the products from COVERT ORANGE. Supposedly they are created in a way that does not appear as a large bright blob to animals.

I'm not sure if/how they work, but I thought it was worht the price of a vest to try it out. I have had a lot of deer within 15 yards of me this year without their knowing it, but can't necessarily say if the vest played a part or not.

No, in fact it doesn 't even say that you have to have it front and back. So a 20x20 swatch of Blaze Orange pined to your back and your good to go.

IL Regs also state a solid blaze orange cap which the CO's who teach Hunter Ed with me state that means a PLAIN (no advertising, cute sayings, or other patches/embroidery on it). But they also say most CO's won't hassle you if you're wearing a orange hat with "Billy Bob's Tractor Sales and Feed Store" as long as it's more orange then advertising.
