Anyone try these?

My M11/9 wears out the feed lips on the Cobray Zytel mags in 4-5 passes through.

Ideally I'd like some quality (OEM) metal ones, like that pictured in "True Lies" when what's-her-face drops her M11 down the stairs and kills all the terrorists.

I've looked and looked and nobody seems to have them.:(

I'm not interested (yet) in doing the sten mag-well conversion.

Recon Ordnance in Wisconsin is making them from Argentine subgun mags.
A couple of friends have bought them and I think they are doing fine.
Recon advertises in Shotgun News regularly.

I got two "metal M11/9 magazines" from somewhere in shotgun news several years ago... stamped metal. Absolute garbage. Neither would lock into my gun (mag stop was welded in the wrong place), neither would function, one wouldn't even FIT into the mag well.

Hopefully I was sent the wrong mags but I'd buggered them up so badly trying to make them fit I didn't bother trying to get my money back.

I'm wary now... I'll check those out, though. Thanks.

I tried two sets of 6 from two different places awhile back when they first started showing up. One said the mags were made in South Africa, not sure if they were or not, nor am I sure where the other 6 were supposed to have been made. All the mags looked similar in the way they were made and finished. Of the 12, 1 mag would fire without a stoppage. Most would not go half a mag, and probably a third of them were very hard to get into the gun. I sent them all back and got my money back.

I've got about 25 Zytel mags that I bought new back in the 80's with my M11/9mm. Of those 25, most work fine, I'd say 20 out of the 25. Some have the front of the mag blown out by the nose of the rounds blasting through, but they function fine.
