Where to build my reloading bench??

I started reloading in a garage, well, really an attached to the house shop that was heated and cooled. It would not have been pleasant to reload in a hot or cold area.

A number of years ago, I was sent on a temporary assignment and I built a stand for my press so that I could take reloading along for evening entertainment. It worked so well, that I continue using stands for my presses and powder measure to this day.

The stands allow me to move the presses around to be comfortable and store them out of the way.

The attached picture is the stand I was building for my Pro2000. I have four other similar stands for my Redding single stage, RCBS single stage, Hornady L-N-L AP, and Dillon SDB.

Wood could be used but the joints need to be bolted and glued. Over time, the joints of a wood stand get loose. My original stand was made from 2x4s.

There are commercial equipment available for press stands but I found with a custom build I could tailor the stand to my purposes.
