where to buy "J" hooks and screws?

I've seen a few members on here modify their OWB holsters to use IWB with J (I think that's what they are called?) Hooks.
Where can I find these? I've got a holster i'd like to try and modify.

One quick question, though. Will those Chicago screws be wide enough on the opposite side to not slip through the slot on a typical belt holster?

Well...maybe with it just sitting there, but if it moved at all, no. I'd drill new holes for those screws to go through. 0.20" or so if I recall correctly.

It shows that J-hook up close and might give you some ideas about how to work with it. Just screwing it to a holster would make it an IWB, but won't make it "tuckable."

Just stuff to think about.

Oops, forgot to mention that I was wrong in calling them J hooks, and I meant S hooks. Which I also found:

I'm also thinking about going with the loops:

Both these options would be tuckable, with a pancake style holster.

But what mounting screws should I use? I don't plan on drilling holes in the holster, so maybe a small washer added to the Chicago screws?

Oh, the S-hooks should be tuckable, yes, if you mount the very bottom of the tab to the holster. If you mount anything up at the top of the holster, it wouldn't really be "tuckable" because you can't slide your shirt between the loop and the holster.

I don't think the belt slots will provide the stability you'd want for mounting your loops or straps. You may tighten down on the screws as tight as you like, but there's still almost certain that the screw will slide up and down in the slot, and/or that the slot will gap open just a bit and the screw will just pull through.

I guess if you use a big fender washer behind the screw head that's not as likely to happen, but I'd much MUCH prefer drilling a small hole so I don't have to worry about it.

Well, I'm kinda iffy about drilling the holster, but I think I'll order the straps and screws. I'll try washers, and if it doesn't work out, I'll drill it. Worst case there is that I wasted $0.50 on some washers .
