Hey guys, I'm looking to go shooting today but my budget is pretty small, Around $40, I have a Jennings J-22 I'm going to bring along but I'm assuming I am going to get bored with it and want to rent a 9mm. But heres the problem.

The place I was looking at going, Offers unlimited range time for $14 dollars and $8 for the second person.

Thats $22 right there. And Im assuming a box of 9mm will cost 20 bucks and the pistol rental is 7.99.

Is there anywhere I can go with this amount?

Forgot the most critical information, I live in Ohio near Cleveland..

Give or take a few bucks, I don't think you'll do much better. You can either save up cash until you have enough, or see if you can find someone to go with you and split range/ammo costs.

Whereabouts are you? I'm out east; the only indoor range I've been to is Atwell's.

Those prices sound pretty reasonable and I doubt you will find anything better at an indoor range.

You other option is to shoot outdoors at a public range or public area where shooting is allowed (lots and lots of them in my state, don't know about your area). Buy a box of ammo and content yourself with the .22 - that would be your cheapest route.

bsctov,
Welcome to the forum and shooting. We need all the shooters we can get!!

I think you could have a fairly good time shooting at the range for those prices. I would suggest going to the local WalMart because you could probably get the 9mm ammo much cheaper. If you can get it for $13-$14 a box you could probably get 100 rounds. Those 100 rounds added to the .22 shooting would make a good day IMO.

Have fun, always be safe...
