Where to shoot

I'm looking for a spot to shoot a rifle around Cumming, GA for a buddy of mine. There is a local rifle club, but they are pretty expensive for someone that only shoots occasionally. Is there any informal ranges on state land where he could go? He's a very good shot and has been an NRA instructor for years, so he's definitely a safe shooter.

There's a free range called Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center that I go to. It's about an hour southeast of Atlanta. It's probably about an hour and half drive from Cumming. It's got a pistol range and rifle range.
