Which one - 1903A3 or 1917 Enfield

1917 for sure.
Much more interesting, getting harder to find, and personally I think they're much better feeling and handling.
And, a bit cheaper compared to a 1903, at least around here.

If you're limited to one, get the M1917 first, but get an 03-A3, too. I have both, and a Rock Island M1903 (and I have a bunch of 98s, but they're in another category), and my favorite shooter is the A3. Don't ask me to pick just one...
