It is 2006 and the 1906 30-06 is still going strong. Will it still be in 2106?

Also what is the 30-06's birthday anyway and I hope we did not miss it. So what are we going to do for it on its' 100th birthday?

Don't we have a bunch of 100th birthdays coming up? The 45acp? The 44 special? And a bunch of others? Anyone know? What will you do on their 100th birthday to celebrate?

I mean it would only be proper to do something special.

It's a little unclear, to me at least, as to the exact date of the birth of the .45ACP. Colt started designing a .45 caliber round in 1905, but when did they actually finish designing the .45ACP that we know today?

Last weekend I went to a 200 yard range with my Garand and my buddy brought his 1903 Springfield. I celebrated the birthday of the .03-06 and tipped my hat to the men who fought and won WWI and WWII.

Here in the Las Vegas area, we have had two 100th Birthday matches for the '06. In both cases, it was the same monthly match, but you HAD to shoot an '06. This brought out many people who had never attended before.

Some of us will have to wait until 2083

What round would you be refering to? Is it the .40S&W?
