Shopping for a rifle.
Must be .243
Must have stainless barrell
Must have stainless reciever.
Must have stainless trigger.

Would like heavy contour.
Would like free floated.
Would like quality stock.
Would like .5 MOA.

Hate fluting!

This really narrows it down. Savage vlp (fluted), Howa are the only ones I can find is there any other?

Cant understand why remington makes 308 varmint guns and skips the best cartridge there is.

which model browning?
which sako has a stainless receiver?
yeah, forgot to mention ruger target, but it gets mixed reviews.

Kind of sad when you look at what's available. Remington and Winchester offered the .243 in a varmint rifle for years, you just don't see them anymore.

Seems like the only cartridges available in what you want are .204, .223, .22-250 and .308. How things change.

Im not seeing a heavy contour x-bolt. the A-bolt target looks good, but hmmmm... no 243? ***?

Yes tikka is now on the growing list:

savage
Howa
tikka
ruger

Tikka is a good choice(I have two in 243, my wife claimed one and my son took the other:confused:), but not offered in a heavy barrel.
Howa can be bought just as a barreled action, then add your own stock.
Savage, never had one but hear they shoot good.
Ruger...............traded one in 243 to get the second 243 Tikka.......:D
