OK, I'm getting the idea that .32 S&W may be the best plinking ammo for a .32 H&R magnum revolver. Who makes the best .32 long ammo? What about the best for the money?
In this review, gunblast.com didn't exactly love Aguilla's .32 Long offerings:

So, who does make good plinking ammo in .32 S&W?
Thanks folks,

David

Dear David: The best .32 S&W Long offerings are about equal when it comes to RNL, Black Hills may be a bit less expensive, but Federal Cartridge Company makes the best defense load (WC) Winchester, Federal, Remington are all about the same.

Your best bet is to begin handloading the cartridge. You can "roll-your-own" defense/plinking loads (for solid frame revolver) to generate as high as 150 fpe!

Federal's Wadcutter loads run from a 4" barrel at 780 fpe, generating 130 fpe. These rounds are not only extremely accurate, but punch a dandy hole! This is great not only for formal/informal target practice, but are what I use in my H&R Model 732 with it's 2.5" barrel. Properly placed, thy can kill a man in a heartbeat.

I hope that this answers your question,

Scott

Best .32

Best is relative...

I have shot a lot of different brands over the years in my K32s...

As you might expect the lead wadcutter target loads are most accurate, the LRN is the cheapest and not much less accurate.

.32 S&W Long is fairly pricey ammo... so I load my own...but curiously, both of my K32s like the S&B target load a lot... and are super accurate with that ammo.

FWIW

Thanks for reminding me of S&B! I don't know how much they cost, but S&B is generally less expensive than most American-made ammunition.
