few years ago, my wife & i were scuba diving under an old bridge in ny state....somewhere. found a .25(?) semi-automatic pistol in a nylon holster, slightly corroded. gave it to the state cops, it would have been illegal for me to possess it anyway.........

can you guys identify?

Look like Beretta 70th or replica/copy. Or 1951 9mm but yours looks smaller, clean it up

Imported back in the 1980's -early 90's .
Slide should be marked . Most of these I recall were .380 or .32 .

The illustrated pistol is an Excam Targa.
If small caliber it is probably a GT-22 in .22 lr or maybe a GT-32 in .32 ACP.
The 25s were less "streamlined" in appearance.

They are a cheap copy of the Beretta Model 70, sold here up into the mid-1980s.

If it's a .380, my mom has one just like it under her matress.

Looks like a Tanfoglia, probably .380. Someone probably dumped it after a shooting if you found it under the bridge.
