"why do you need" & "speech doesn't kill"

Truth works for me...."Why do you need guns?"

I don't need guns, I want guns.

Why?

I like the sound firearms make when they discharge.
I like the way a firearm feels in my grasp when it fires.
I like the smell of burnt gunpowder.
I like to see if I can control the wobble in my hand, synchronize my breathing while slowly squeezing the trigger so when the firearm discharges it surprises me...then realizing I hit the target somewhere near where I was aiming.

Much more pleasing than sipping tea and bitching about Republicans.

"Speech don't kill"

"Ideas are more dangerous than guns.
We don't let people have guns - why should we let people have ideas?"
- Stalin

Not sure how helpful this is in an RKBA debate, but I suppose it is interesting that a major dictator was more afraid of free speach and the flow of ideas than armed civilians.

Guns help you win a fight, but without the idea of fighting you wouldn't even try.

I all ways have to answer the "why do you need a gun" question.
Because while free speech may be able to kill, it's not going to do much when the door is kicked in. You have the natural right to protect your person. The Constitution gives you the right to ensure a Free State.

I'd rather be around armed citizens than unarmed subjects
