The reason I haven't bought over priced ammo is because I have put my money into some nice guns.
I have been around long enough to know ammo prices will eventually drop...........;)
Here are a few of the toys my ammo money bought me.

My ammo budget for the year might equal the cost of one of those rifles. Just so long as it's one of the cheaper ones.

reloading components are no better in my neck of the woods... actually worse! especially primers.... if you find em, they are 50 bucks or more a brick.

Prices of ammo are coming down and more ammo is still being produced. Alot of the demand is dropping for now. I still think ammo is going to be the new gold standard.

Ammo may go back down to what the "normal" 2009 prices were, but don't expect it to ever get cheaper than that. Over time, everything gets more expensive. It's called inflation.

All the Russian ammo is dropping pretty good. can get .223 for well under .30 a round. Good for plinking. Not sure I can reload much cheaper than that for target rounds. Also just picked up .40 handgun target rounds for .23 cents a round, and that was American. It may never be "cheap" again, but I think we'll see reasonable rates soon on most brands.
