I fell into a bargain today - didn't need the shotgun, but I couldn't resist it at the price.
My dealer gave me a quick call. He'd sold a Baikal SxS 12ga., 28" barrels, 3 screw-in chokes, to a guy last year, and said guy had fired half-a-box of ammo out of it and decided that he didn't enjoy the recoil. He traded it in on a semi-auto this morning.
My dealer offered me first crack at the Baikal, which he assured me was in better-than-mint condition. Fearing the answer, I asked "How much?" His answer: "Well, you're a good customer, and I've got too much tied up in after-hunting-season trades right now. How about $225?"
So, I have a lovely new Baikal SxS sitting by my chair as I type. As my dealer promised, it's in wonderful condition, and I shall have fun playing with it alongside my new-to-me Winchester 101 soon. I know the Baikal isn't your fanciest of SxS's, but at the price, who's complaining?
