Im thinking of buying a blued revolver to be used in silhouette shooting, and was thinking of having it hard chromed. If I have the entire gun chromed, even the bore, will it effect its overall accuracy? Thanks-

No.

It WILL likely improve the feel of the action, prevent fouling from sticking to it, make it easier to see the fouling, and prevent wear and corrosion.

I don't think you can hard chrome the bore once it leaves the factory, I could be wrong. I would think it would make the bore smaller just enough to affect accuracy or safety.

The benchrest shooters wont hardchrome a barrel, but for a pistol-no problems. The dimension change is so slight with hard chrome that it wont be an issue.

Hard chrome is only something like 0.0003" thick, so the bore would be a total of 0.0006" smaller. There's more variation than that in the diameter of different bullets. Shouldn't be a problem.

My bigger concern would be getting the bore absolutely, completely clean before plating. Of course, a good plating house should be thoroughly prepared to do just that.
