I have an old (c. 1992) Winchester 1300 Defender 12 ga. I was reading an article about the FN P-12 and it looked an awful lot like the 1300. I know that the P-12 was based on the 1300. I've been wanting to update the old warhorse for quite some time and the chrome lined bore and chamber of the P-12 barrel would be just the ticket.

What are the chances of a P-12 barrel working on a Defender?

Hardly surprising at one time Browning and Winchester were owned by the same corporation.

It does look very similar. If you could get an example of the two of them side by side and experiment...

Browning and Winchester are still owned by FN. Now that USRAC is gone the Winchesters are actually made in FN facilities.

Yeah, I knew that and Olin retained the rights to the Winchester brand for ammunition and ammo components. Which is why I'm curious to know how much backwards compatibility there is between the P12 and the Win 1300.
