Winchester Model 12, 12 guage Lubrication

We have a 1951 Model 12 , 12 guage. I dont think it has been fired in 40 years. It is fully chromed. What type of lubrication should I use if any. Is there anything ai should do to check it out. It seems to function well, w/o firing.

I have used everything on my mod 12's and 42's. I like Rig, WD-40, Hoppe's (grease and oil).

Model 12's are wonderful shotguns.
