So I had a crack in the slide. Called EAA and they were great. My original slide was the standard rounded profile slide. When I received my pistol back I got a surprise it was a new blued slide square profile with adjustable sights.

Took it to the range yesterday and put 110 rounds through it. 70 were Remington 200gr hollow points and 40 of my reloads with the Berry 200gr hollow points.

The only malfunctions were with Remington I had 6 FTF and about 5 or 6 where the slide did not lock up.

Accuracy was very good I shot 5 to 10 shot groups and they would cluster in a 2 inch space at 25 yards standing unsupported. I was unable to get the targets to post due to some ignorant people showing up causing my wife and I to leave. We were tired of the range officer to do something.

Glad EAA took care of the defective slide they sold you. I'm still waiting for them to replace the cracked slide and two cracked frames on my .45 Witness full size and compact pistols. Their excuse was the hard-chrome finish voided their "lifetime" warranty. It's only been six years since I returned the pistols to them (and returned to me at my expense coming and going). Maybe they're just backed up.

I sent mine in a week before thanksgiving and they told me they were backed up I got it last week. 3 week turn around.
Wow on your problem but I could see them saying no as it is a mod. I hope it works out for you.
