Woollard v. Gallagher

We should find out on Tuesday if the Supreme Court will here this case. It is basically a challenge to may issue (Constitutionality of restricting gun permits to applicants who show "good and substantial reason"). What do you think? Is this the time and the case for us to prevail?

cert denied. may issue states good to go for at lest the next few years.

NJ Carry Case

There is one more in the system, Drake v. Filko is the NJ civil rights carry case. It is basically the same as the MD and the NY cases that were denied review by SCOTUS. Maybe the third time is a charm? Not sure what is the tipping point for the justices to decide what to hear.

I have to admit I suspected the court would decide to hear this one since Moore is not headed there. Maybe they just decided to let the appeals courts fight it out for a while longer. There is just no accounting for what cases SCOTUS takes or does not take.

We have a split between courts, with the court in IL saying carry is a protected, v. Maryland... I'm not sure why they won't take this.
