XD 357 SIG to .40 S &W

The gun is an XD service model in .357 SIG. Can I convert it to .40 S&W by simply changing to a .40 S&W barrel?

although if your slide is sized for the 357sig (9mm), the larger diameter of the 40 bbl may not allow a swap.

As Claude said, you could go .40 to .357, but not the other way.

sure you can go the other way.
g33 to g27 not a problem with the glocks.

i am pretty sure you can do it for the xD as well.

I think with the XD you can go .357 to .40, but you need to check.

According to Bar-Sto & EFK Firedragon it seems that you can.

I bought a 9MM Conversion barrel from EFK Firedragon for my XD SC .40. It works great with the 9MM mag, and OK with the .40 mag.
