This is a suggestion for the mods and those who are more politically active.
I try to be politically active. But I'm sure there are more like me, who would call or email the reps if it was easier...
I suggest that for upcoming anti-gun bills (like the oft-discussed HR1022 now coming up) there should be a sticky (until passed or defeated), listing the committee members (with state and district) and their email/phone, as well as a description of the bill. For something like this, where folks are saying "contact the committee, but don't say anything to other reps unless it makes it out of committee" there should be a note on that too. I guess basically, I'm saying make it a sticky with a bill summary, contact recommendations (email flood, contact committee only, not yet, etc.) and contact information at the beginning.
One more suggestion would be a sticky with links to the contact information for each state. I've got all my senators and representatives emails in my contact book already, but I'm sure that would make it easier for others.
For instance:
Senate contact information (pick your state)
House contact information (pick your state) or (find your rep)
Zip code lookup (for house district): Find zip+4
