I picked up a unfired Six for $200 in trade and need a grip that is small enough for carry and feels good with hot loads. The gun is a over 150.000 style grip (sq butt).
Thanks

Oooops, I forgot to say it's a 2 3/4". Heres a pic.

Monster, yeah I looked at them at CDNN and they have a rubber par that might be short enough. Thanks for the input.

Well, my Security Six has a six inch barrel which isn't very concealable but I have Pachmayr grips on it. This gun is extremely comfortable to shoot.

Can't help you out Bren. I'm using Pachmayr Presentation grips on my Service-Six and they're huge - and I like them. They look like the large rubber Pachmayr target grips w/medallion on the CDNN page - the first grip listed.

Pachmyr Gripper Professionals on a 4" blued Sec6 work for me. My S&W M28 also wears a pair.

I have a 4" Security Six that wears Hogue rubber, and a 2 3/4" Speed Six that wears Pachmayr.

For hot loads, especially .357, grips that cover the backstrap will feel better and help absorb some recoil.

I have Hogue's on my Speed Six but I think it would carry better with the standard grips. Shoots better with the Hogue's.

Congrats on what should be a great buy.
Hogue Pau Ferro's worked really well on my old 4" Security Six when I had it. I've shot & been happy with snub Speed Sixes wearing both my favorite rubber Pachy Compacs (cover the back strap) and Pachy's Compac Pro (does NOT cover the back strap).

I had to come back to this post. I just picked up a set of Secret Service grips from Eagle for my Speed Six, and am quite impressed. These seem to feel the best out of any I have tried, and they just look "right" on this gun. The Pachmayr's do absorb recoil, but both them and the Hogue monogrip just seem too big and somehow disproportionate. The Eagles look just right.

And being that this particular revo is a 9mm, I ain't worried about the recoil. :D

Bren,

Have you considered a Pachmayer grip adapter or Tyler Tee grip? That would fill in the area behind the trigger guard and under your middle finger without making the grip itself larger.
