This thoroughly abused KA-BAR (bushwhacking and gardening tool) was brought back by my dad from his WWII days and given to me as a child. It would be my first knife.

This S&W pocket knife was the first serious knife I purchased with my own hard-earned dishwashing and stock-clerking money...

And this Spyderco Matriarch 2 is my most recent knife acquisition, as of about a week ago... :)

my first knife was likely a Kamp King just like shown in post 13, might have been a Barlow though I do not recall, my go to now , is a Kershaw Leek , my first fixed blade is an old Eastwing its a little beat up after 30 years but holds a decent edge ,and fits my hands well .

Barnfixer,
I like the Bark River knife, they make some really nice knives. The knives with the Jade scales are some of the nicest!

Very nice!

Bark River made one of the Bravo knives, think it was called Ghost Jade. Excellent knife, wouldn't mind having one.

I like the inscription on your Mexican Bowie knife's blade. Sort of reminded me of a somewhat similar inscription on another, older Mexican Bowie knife. Freely translated it basically said: "Do not draw me without reason...Do not sheath me without honor". Pretty cool stuff to put on a knife blade!
