so I purchased a new Yugo SKS.
It's mostly a rebuilt/arsenal gun with non-matching numbers, but in good condition with a good bore.
I cleaned it up and it has turned out better than what I expected for $185.
My problem now is that the gas shut-off is stuck. It is stuck in the 'corner' of the L-cut channel - basically it is in the middle and could go either way, as if the rifle has not made up its mind on what it wanted to be when it grew up.
What are some tips for 'unfreezing' it? I just applied a bit of gunscrubber and then CLP, but it is still frozen after 20 minutes.
I can depress it in order to ready it to be switched, but it still will not budge.
Any other tips/things to try? Any specific products?
