This week I plan on buying a Hi-Point C9.
I live only two hours away from their headquarters in Mansfield, Ohio.
Let's hope their pistols are better than our sports teams :D

On a more serious note: are you able to disassemble the striker assembly for cleaning?

Can't help you with the cleaning question, but keep me posted on your experience. I've shot the H/P carbine but not the handgun. There have been a few threads about them and I've been considering one in 45 to experiment with 45ACP black powder loads.

45 auto Cowboy loads?
Sounds interesting heh.
If you do accomplish that make sure you post in the Black Powder thread, I'm sure they'll get a kick outa it.

Experimentation- what a perfect job for a Hi-Point :D

I think there is a "cheap gun" bug floating around the air or something. I picked up a Pheonix .22LR right before I came offshore this hitch. Can't wait to go home and shoot it till it breaks :D

I've heard the Phoenix usually last around 500 rounds before the recoil spring poops out.
I hope that isn't true!

WOW must be lucky had my phoenix about a year well over 2000 round never had a problem great gun for the price

That's why I don't trust what I hear!
I remember someone shooting one of those next to me at the range a few weeks back. Didn't have one jam or malfunction.
