Zinc Ingots

does anyone have an idea of what to do with zinc Ingots. Back before I had kids I did a ton of smelting tire weights, when I got a good few I’d even smelt the zinc ones down into Ingots. I found a box of them the other day and wish I had time for that crap now.
Seems like back then guys were doing something with the zinc?

There are some that will swap you pound for pound for lead as they make cannon balls with them. Try offering some up in the reloading for sale area.

Cannon balls are ok though. . . easy to sift out.

One time last year, I was in a tire shop asking about weights. One of the workers said that if he let me have them, he couldn't use them to cast fishing weights.

I went and got a few zinc ingots and handed them to him. He asked what it was, and noticed the ingots were nice and clean, ready to remelt and cast.
I mentioned that I could easily render down all the zinc in the buckets and return them as clean ingots, in exchange for the lead.

And that's what happened.
