I found caps!

Admittedly number 10s, but there were several Remington #10s hanging from the peg at Scheels in Chandler AZ, for $9.99 per 100.

Wow, they are still expensive. Most everything I run across uses #11 caps. They are pretty much unobtainable here.

Rem #10s are the same diameter as Rem #11s, only longer.
I use #10s on most everything with a push on with a little dowel.

Not really - last time I bought #11 caps they were $25 per 100. Ouch.

Most of my supply of caps are CCI 11, if I have nipples that don't like them I turn them down until the caps fit without forcing them on but still tight enough to not fall off.

That is true. Mako did the measurements years ago and from time to time I’ve checked and found his data is still pretty accurate. Additionally I have an older straightline capper that will accept Remington 11’s but not 10’s nor the RWS 1055’s.
