I have three rimfire Norrell suppressors but I know nothing about centerfire supppressors. I have looked around but I have not found anything that is that impressive. I want one that I can disassemble and clean or someone to tell me why I wouldn't want to take it apart to clean it.

Why would you want to disassemble one?

.22 suppressors get dirty in part because of lead bullets. Most centerfires shoot jacketed bullets and stay much cleaner.

I can't think of any .30 cans that can be disassembled by the user. There may be some, but none of the most popular ones come apart. Try the following:

Advanced Armament
SWR
OPS, Inc.
Innovative Arms
AWC
Thunder Beast Arms

Over on SilencerTalk it usually boils down to either the YHM Phantom or the AAC 762SD when it comes to .30 caliber suppressors.

Don't forget about SAS LLC. Tim makes a very impressive .30 cal called the arbiter. As it was said above your really shouldn't need to take apart a centerfire can, the .22's do junk up fast though......

Anyone have a thunderbeast? That is a pretty impressive piece. I like the fact that it's titanium and Zak was proactive in leaving me a message about them.

I've had my eye on the YHM Phantom 7.62. I already like their phantom flash suppressors and they make a quick connect flash hider/can mount for both the 7.62 and 5.56 so it could be used on ARs as well (albeit the can is 2" longer than the dedicated 5.56 can).

Best in what regards?

Sound reduction?
Weight?
Size?
Cost?

Be specific, there are a lot of very good silencers for various .30 cal firearms.

...those categories are mutually exclusive. A $300 silencer will be loud, large, and heavy. A lightweight one may be quiet and small, but expensive.

You have to figure out what it most important to you for a proper answer. :)

I want the best I don't really care about the cost. There is usually a company that makes something that is well built, high quality, and very effective. Kinda like a CZ rifle high quality and cost effective.

For size vs durability vs weight vs dB reduction, regardless of cost, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than these:

For a bolt action rifle in 30 cal: 30P-1

For a semi-auto rifle in 30 cal: 7.62SD OR, a bit heavier, longer and quieter, SCAR-H SD

Best for $300....

I do not think you can buy a 30 caliber rifle silencer in the USA for $300. I make mine on the form 1, they are no more than $60. Aren't silencers restricted devices in Canada?
