Its not news to us in the gun world, but to see one as a back drop on the local news, surprised me! With all the gun control talk on the news, they almost always show a Glock, or 1911, but showing a P01 is a nice change:D

Love my sp01 tactical 9mm. They build quality guns. They should get more kudos....

I agree, CZ pistols are great and should get more time in the spotlight.

I guess it's an odd way to get on the tube, but oh well.

CZs are usually not on people's list of desirables, until they actually shoot one. Then, they buy em up!

Old School 97B with blued finish and Czech police badge.

Yes, people do love their CZs!.

I'm hopeful for the P-09 Duty,

I just hope I don't have to buy one with only 10 round mags in April, after the gun is released to the public. The ones in tester hands are running great!

I can't say enough nice things about my P01. Everything my beloved 75bd did, this does better.

Ironically I was loaned one at the range ten years ago when I was looking to get a 9mm CC gun. It turned me off with the flat magazine floorplate, my little finger riding right on the steel. Now that CZ added the curved rubber pad, it transforms the gun.

The P-09 Duty looks a lot like the SP-01 Phantom. Yeah, I know it has the Omega trigger, but it looks about the same size, and capacity. Is ti just a larger framed P-07 with a longer slide?

You can roll the flat steel base front edge down, and it is pretty comfy.:)

You can kinda see it in this pic

My two factory CZ Compact mags that I bought several years ago both had the baseplates "rolled down" from the factory. They used to be standard like that.

Beretta 92 floorplates work great on compact mags to eliminate that finger bite.

Also, for reloads, you can take a standard 16 round mag and put the floorplate of an SP-01 19 round mag on it - functions perfectly as an extended mag for the compact. Snugs up tight and gives you the grip length of a full size.

Very glad to hear this! I just bought one after reading all the good things people say. It should ship today and be at my FFL by Tuesday at the latest. I'm very excited! Heard nothing but good thing.

Bought a CZ-97 2 years ago, sold it 9 months later.... missed it so much I bought one brand new at the end of last summer...

Love those darn CZ's but they are addicting. I started with a 75B earlier last year then add a 82 to the collection in Oct. and just added a PO-1 to the collection over the holidays. If I keep this pace up I'm going to need 30 days in a rehab.

I have two CZ-75s in 9mm and will someday own one in .40cal. If I run into a gob of dollars, I'll pick up a 97 as well.

If you come across a 40B, snag it up! Best factory CZ trigger ever;)

So your saying if I am looking at a 75B in .40 S&W for under $500... I'd be crazy to pass it up?

LOVE my P-01's. It is just a shame that the administrator of the CZ site is such a .........well............OK.................I joined and don't think I even posted there. I saw how totally rude, immature, and has to get the last word in, he was and decided I didn't even want to be associated with them. Left on the second day.
Shame because they are great guns.

Hey make sure you were at the original.cz forum. I guess there is 2 Nd the original is polar opposite of what you describe.

This is a link to the ORIGINAL CZ Forum. It has been around, in one form or another, for many years. This forum includes technical support fromAngus Hobdell, the manager of the CZ Custom Shop and a great gunsmith (and a world class shooter in his own right), and gets some support from (but is not controlled by) CZ-USA.

It was the CZ site with Wiggle, Widge, or some variation of the name as the Administrator. Maybe he was having a bad day, bad week, or bad life. In any case there is NO REASON to display rudeness.
Shut the thread down, or bounce the offending member, but to be rude because you CAN BE RUDE, I got no use for the clown.
CZ's do make great guns though.:D

CZ's are number one in my book. I try to keep my safe fully stocked with wonderful CZs and their variants.

Ive got a 97 and 2 PCRs. They are all great! The 97 had a few teething issues at first though. It did not like hollowpoints at all. I still can't believe how well they all shoot. The PCRs are truly awesome. Not to small, not to big. Everything on them is smoothed over and done right. They could use better triggers, but I'm not going to complain about that when the rest of the gun more than makes up for it.
