What's wrong with finding a used stevens .223 or a savage edge? either of those can be had for around $300, and 223 ammo is dirt cheap right now (especially wolf) He'll have a rifle that he can actually do something with at ranges past 100yds. New, these rifles hover right around the $300 mark...
yeah, I can buy the upper I'm looking at for $720 to my door. To build the upper with some minor changes is gonna cost $800 not including shipping from the various sites I'd be buying from. Then I have to figure out how much my time is worth.... I think I'll just buy one already put together...
So I'm looking to buy or build another upper for my lr308, because I need a lightweight in the brush gun also. If I build an upper and use the bolt that I already have, I'll save a significant amount of money. Is it ok to just switch the bolt back and forth between the two uppers? Thanks
So I found an old leather holster for my 1911, but it is very dry. The gun fits perfect, but sounds like rubbing against cardboard when putting it in. It is very rough on the inside. The belt loops and every part of the holster are just very dry and almost brittle, but not cracked. I was just...
Really? I wasn't aware of that. Could you post a link to this weapon you speak of?

This is the one that I'm ready to pull the trigger on, but none of my local guys can find one, and I haven't had any luck searching online.

After playing with my buddie's TLE II, I'm dead set on getting a 1911. I'm either going to get a Springfield loaded alloy frame 5'' or the Springfield champion 4" alloy frame.
I've shot a Gov model, and really enjoy the recoil, the weight with the alloy frame doesn't bother me at all, and...
I've been hearing people say it's a must put some type of crimp on all rounds going through a semi-308 b/c when the bolt picks up a cartridge from the mag and slams it into the chamber, it can set the bullet back far enough to cause extreme pressure and possible chamber rupture. Others say don't...
First off, Casefull offered no insight to the topic, and demeaned my thread without even applying it to the original post. Second, Dr Tad didn't even address the length vs velocity topic in question here. Neither of these two offered any assistance, they simply wanted to say something to boost...
I have one, and it is being sold at this moment. I've never had a problem with it. The accuracy is very good. I've shot bowling pins at 100yd off of a bench. It's just I'd rather have my G34 on my side for short range, and my M4 on my back for a little bit longer range.
I can hit bowling pins...
