Are Taurus BLEMs just cosmetic defects?

:D This Taurus .38 has a few blemishes on it. You should've seen the "before" version. Shoots well enough to get my wife and daughter involved in firearms.

Very now and then, there turns up one of those -right place, right time-deals. The one and only Taurus that I own is "one of those deals".
Was at our range and was about ready to leave when another club member showed up to shoot. Our clue is restricted to 125 members and it really would be considered "bad form" to just leave without a few minutes of conversation. We chatted for a while and he asked if I had seen his post on the bulletin board of some guns he was selling. One was a Taurus 85SS. (I happen to be a "chump" for snub nosed pistols!) This pistol was built in 97 and is same as new. It happens to be everything any of my Smith J frames are. I have subjected it to reloads that I would hesitate to load into any J frame, Many net experts are willing to testify that such loads will shoot a Taurus loose. Who knows they could be right! Ran out of 2400 and the 158 grain LSWCHP leaded the barrel something terrible after 10 rounds+ the recoil was "stout". So where is this load listed? Speer reloading Manual #10 158 grain JHP +p load. Still is my carry load and firearm.
Would a factory "blem" keep me from buying another Taurus made pistol- not hardly. I'd buy two Taurus made anything long before I'd buy one Ruger. Had a 5 1/2 barreled Redhawk what a disaster THAT was!! Once sham on you, Twice sham on me. NEVER again.

If you would check the amount of negative feedback posted for Wholesale Hunter you just might run from something they would sell "as is". I only had one contact with them and was lied to repeatedly. No way would I buy anything from them again.
