What exactly does "tuning and customizing" mean? Does that mean that you are replacing OEM parts with aftermarket? If so, that would explain why you gun functioned so poorly.
Because of this thread, I took my Glock 19 Gen 4 to the range. I needed to test some range ammo anyway, so I packed...
This will never happen in any widespread way. Sure, someone will invent a "smart gun" but no professional agency will use them and no one who needs a gun for self defense will buy one. This is pie in the sky thinking that is not grounded in reality.
Let me explain why: There are really only...
I'm in Michigan and would not hesitate to use a snow bank as cover right now. They are currently more ice banks than snow banks. Some are a good 10 feet tall and solid as a rock. Early in the winter I would only use one as a last resort.
Not to be offensive or rude but threads like this scare me. Someone is really considering not only drawing, but also holding as many rounds in his hands while doing so and it sounds like he is looking for a reason to do so. Forget looking around and analyzing the situation, forget using the best...
Right now I keep a Glock 19 and a Sig 229 in a quick access safe within reach of my bed. I can open the safe without the light on no problem. Each gun is fully loaded and ready to go. I also have a small but bright flashlight in there and extra mags all loaded.

I don't talk about carrying with most of the people I know. I don't want people to know that I carry, so I have never brought it up. If it comes up, I shut my mouth.
I carry every day. If I leave my house, I have a gun on me. It's part of my routine and I don't plan on changing it.
However...
I'm mostly worried about having it in my car. I figure they would need to break into it to search it, but I'm still concerned.
I work late and have to pick my son up in the hood, so not carrying isn't an option.
The only thing I can think of is if someone sees my holster on accident and...

I just threw away 2 Korean mags. They failed nearly half the time. I suppose they would be ok for the range. Nothing I would depend on in a life or death situation.
