The vortex ranger 1000 is another that works really well. I saw a review for in not too long on another forum:

If you are looking for a 1-4.....really depends on the reticle that you are looking for.
Take a look at the 1-4 in the vortex pst rifle scopeline if you are looking for an moa or mil based reticle.
Leupold would be where I would look for a more traditional hunting scope.
a good coat of ballistol before every deployment is what all of my firearms got. One pass, let it dry, and store it. Come back a year later and good as new.
Sport Optics is doing $225 off Swarovski EL's and SLC's
Swarovski Binoculars
They also have their Swarovski ATM/STM spotting scope packages marked dow $200
Swarovski Spotting Scopes
1/10 mil = .36".....x2 for 200 = .72"....x3 for 300 = 1.08.........that's how I figure it.
Might want to look into a ballistic app to make life easier. I have Ballistic AE and Bullet flight on my iphone. You can run your dope chart in MIL or MOA and get click values for your dope.
I use an aimpoint micro both on my m&p and on my glock 19. I had a company by the name of unity tactical do the slide work for me. They make a system they call the ATOM mount that will accept many different reflex sights. Fits well in my crossbreed. I find it helps when shooting in awkward...
No problem brother. We are all here to help each other out.
SkinnyGrey...the NYX14 is in your budget my friend. It does have a built in illumintaor. I played with mine and decided that I didn't need a separate illuminator. Your experience may vary.
dedicated night vision or are you going to want to mount it in conjunction with something like an EO Tech or Aimpoint?
Here is what I have as an example:
-Armasight NYX14 Gen2 (enhanced image version) with manual gain control. I personally prefer having manual gain vs an auto adjusting unit. I...
its pretty cool to read about how different combinations of minerals effect light processing through the lens. Flouride, iron, they use all kinds of stuff that each have a different effect on the color spectrum. Pretty interesting stuff.
Mulitcoating means that all surfaces are coated......all surfaces meaning front and back. Inside any optical system with multiple lenses you will have rlflection off the subsequent lens. Coating the back side of the lens makes sure that the light reflected off of the internal lens is reflected...
I would look to Cerakote something rather than looking for a FDE optic.
The EoTech Exps comes in FDE but I'm guessing you would want something magnified. The Trijicon TA31-ECOS comes in FDE as well if you like BDC reticles.
What about a 2.5-10 Nightforce? Put it in a Bobro mount and call it a...
If it were me:
100-200 mark I would go with the Vortex Sparc. It's the only red dot that I know of that has a lifetime warranty.
500 mark I would look at an Aimpoint Micro H-1.
