Charlton Heston in his 1999 Keynote speech to the NRA:
"This cycle of tragedy-driven hatred must stop, because so much more connects us than that which divides us because tragedy has been, and will always be with us. Somewhere right now, evil people are planning evil things. All of us will do...
I see that some DPMS AR-10s are listed as .308 chamber and some are 7.62x51. Is there the same relative danger in cross chambering present putting 7.62x51 into a .308 AR-10 as when you put 5.56 NATO into an AR-15 chambered for .223?
I used the method of LTC Chuck Santose and it worked perfectly.

For what it's worth, M193 has a remarkably flat trajectory out to 200m. As he notes, you want to zero this thing to point of aim, and his method does...
In case you guys haven't noticed, the political left did learn something about banning guns with the Clinton AWB. They now know how we worked around it (evidenced by the much meaner HR 1022). They know how much political damage it caused. And they know how badly it backfired by waking up the...
Dear thread starter,
It would be best for all the other members and you if you were to refrain from making threads which live up to your user name.

I just bought a 7.62x39 already converted. It's the nicest AK I've ever handled, the receiver finish is excellent, and that sucker was zeroed right out of the box. I love my Saiga and will buy more if they become available in 5.45x39 and 7.62x54.
I have a WASR-2 that shoots pretty decent, but is a little worn, typical WASR.
I'm looking to keep an AK in 5.45 around that's of a higher build quality and newer than the WASR I bought used. I'm aware of the Polish Tantal side-folders (I hate folding stocks, any folder I buy will get a new...
It appears that either the mod staff deleted the thread or the author did it himself. However since THR doesn't allow self-delete of posts, I'm guessing it was the mods.
Thanks Al
I joined MCRC not too long ago and have given that some consideration. At the last meeting I went to, there was talk of bringing some well-renowned fella in to hold one of his training classes, but it was one of those high-dollar things.
Not a bad idea, thanks. :)
I'm trying to minimize the amount of material out there to hold up the clays and get chewed up, esp since I'll be letting the gf use this, and she is a poor marksman (markswoman?) right now.
Still, good suggestion.
I currently have a target stand that is a PVC base that holds two vertical 1x2's about 16 or so inches apart (got the design from some site I forgot), that stands about 6 feet high. Normally I tack cardboard to the wood and paper targets to the cardboard.
My home range (club) allows me to...
elChupacabra!,
Yes, that makes sense. I agree that every message should be circulated to every audience. Were this pre-internet days, then such control is at least somewhat feasible, but in this day and age, it most certainly is not. You are quite correct that carefully-tailored messages...
This is definitely not my first rodeo, sir. :)
There are really two nested suggestions. One is preference for not associating guns and religion at all when doing advocacy, because it makes it easier for opponents to draw emotions and confuse issues. The other is to not play into negative...
