It appears that either the mod staff deleted the thread or the author did it himself. However since THR doesn't allow self-delete of posts, I'm guessing it was the mods.

:banghead: okay. thanks for letting me know.

i hope it gets published. the first part was great and the second was getting real good.

With apologies to anyone who was reading Hurricane Flu II:Fulcrum I asked for it to be deleted.

The reasons are personal . I have nothing whatsoever to do with the grappling for control of THR. Please, don't apply any more significance to it than there is. Chalk it up to lousy timing.

When life gets back under control... whenever that might be... I will hopefully pick up the story. At that point I am planning to organize a site of my own where I can finish the story. I will certainly post a notice and link here on THR if/when that happens.

My deepest apologies to anyone I've left in the lurch. The whole reason I began the original Hurricane Flu was because I was frustrated that there had been several stories begun and not finished here on THR. I pledged when I began to finish Hurricane Flu and I did. It looks like I pushed my luck too far with HF II. I asked for it to be deleted so the thread wouldn't turn into a black hole, sucking people in. If I do eventually continue it will be on my own site to avoid complications, speculations, and ill will towards anyone but myself should there be problems.

With regrets and apologies,
Erick Grube

Darn it, I hope you hurry up! I just noticed the story last night, finished Hurricane Flu 1 and had just got through page one of Hurricane 2!! And now, the thread is gone....:fire:

Erick, thanks for your reply. It's nice to hear a direct and more conclusive answer instead of being left hanging (ala "Bit Me").

Very disappointing, I figured I would log in and be able to read 5 or 6 more chapters, oh well. I'll need to find some other way to pass the time this evening. Looking forward to when you post a link to HF2, and once again, thanks for a very entertaining Hurricane 1.
