Ran into this on my latest rifle. I installed a CMC trigger on my LWRC and when I re-installed my pistol grip and torqued the main bolt inside the grip too tight the safety selector was so hard to operate. Loosened the bolt several turns off and piece of cake now it is as smooth as butter.
Hope...
I will vouch for the standard 10 round fixed magazine. I replaced my fixed magazine with a 20 rounder... ran into feeding issues right after another. I tinkered with it and just couldn't resolve it. I put back the standard fixed magazine and there has been no issues whatsoever. Stick with...
But also remember that the .45 ACP was created around the 1911. Yes 9mm and 40 do good with barrel length and gain more velocity but aren't the same as 45. Wait till someone more inclined in this area chime in.
On most broken in Glocks when you ram the mag home with the slide back it can chamber a round. My 17 does it 2/10 times. Now with it not feeding right it might be the worn out recoil spring. How many rounds have you shot through it?? Anything over 5000 rounds you should replace the spring.
Thank you for the information. Yes, this handgun was a gift and I really like it. I haven't had time to shoot it yet but the trigger feels nice. Not as nice as a friends Kimber but still a 1911 sweet trigger. I think I am just going to go through with it and purchase the Wilson Combat ambi saftey.
Greetings,
I just recieved a Para Ord GI Expert 1911. I am left handed and need to get an ambi thumb saftey. I was looking at purchasing a Wilson Combat ambi saftey. If any experienced 1911 tuners can chime in, it would greatly be appreciated.
