    Gun Printing Just Got Serious

A good while back I posted here about the possiblities of scanning and replicating older firearms, and for the most part, the response was that without the finishing process, and at the (then) current level of metallurgy, It just wasn't quite in the cards yet. WOOOHAH!!!!!! Not as complicated...

11 yo with a stun gun

Thanks for the Kind words Tahoe, there are millions of people talking about "bullying" today without ever understanding the "real deal", the extremes that never get reported, and when it crosses the line from Hijinks, over into real criminality. My primary problem was both being over 6' far...

11 yo with a stun gun

Bronco, as you appear to be specifically directing part of your comment at me... you seem to be misreading, and applying the statement regarding my extreme size as a youth as a description of your average pre-teen reprobate. Specifically.... "And to those who say...we'll at 11 I was a big...

My Freedom Arms .44 mag just got a tattoo

@44Minimum, The FA's have 2 setups for the 5 shot revolvers. Model 83- Traditional, full hammered gun with a manual sliding safety and a lawsuit from a fellow who was likely being stupid and shot his leg off. (resulting in FA's bankruptcy) http://www.freedomarms.com/m83p.htm...

11 yo with a stun gun

Almost forgot.... My mother in law carries a "Guard Dog" 4m volt stun flashlight as we have several Pit/mastiff owners who let their dogs free-roam the neighborhood. Animal control has been called several times, they just bought a new dog when the last one was taken...

11 yo with a stun gun

Mike, I fall into the category of being physically unable to escape at speed, and I'm only 37. Welcome to my world. At first glance all others see is a 6'5", shaven-headed, Hawaiian shirted, lanky guy leaning on what looks like a decorative walking stick. They don't see the orthotics, the...

11 yo with a stun gun

11...let me think... I was taller than many adults at that age, and had my skull cracked on a steel rail fence by a group of young adults on a Light Rail overpass, clotheslined off of my bike and beaten with a U-Lock by same age assailants. Thrown off of a balcony onto cement, attempted arson...

    9mm Rock Island 1911 or plastic 5"

If I were going for a 9mm I'd save just a bit more and get the .22 TCM version of the RIA 1911. Includes the 9mm Barrel for cheap shooting, and the .22 TCM was a fun round to watch at the range, for far less money than a Five-Seven. Rock Island opened an ammo factory in Montana, and you can...

    Favorite .45

My Ruger Blackhawk is my favorite for now, my wife's 1911 is a close second but the ability to send 300 grain wrist snappers and powder puff loads without a spring change give it the edge in general functionality. Now if I manage to save up for my DeLisle, it might displace the revolver, but...

    Are FTF's common?

FtFeed... almost always with non CCI/Fiocchi .22 ammo, though it has happened on days when my crushed hand just isn't gripping well on the larger Semi automatics. Or teaching newcomers who haven't gotten out of limpwristing. FTFire/Squibs... Never had a primer fail in the handloads, although...

Video: Star M-45 Firestar .45 ACP Pistol - Range Test

Great pistols. I wish I knew who got my Great Uncle's 9mm after he passed. My brother in law purchased a similar 9mm one after shooting The 9mm before he married my sister. If only parts were available, I'd love to shoot the snot out of every one I see.

How do you see your hits at 100 yds or further?

Binoculars and a Spotter telling me where It hit.

    Finally got a rimfire!

I like CCI and Fiocchi. Shot just about every cheap .22 ammo made, those two have been the least problematic. The Thunderbolt and Wildcats don't work well in the High standard, or the AR-7, but functioned fine in the pump-action Remington from a turn of the century Carnival shooting gallery.

    I need your vote!

I didn't just vote for Gary because he's a member here, lets dissect them according to my preferences. (Edit-However in the interests of Full Disclosure, While I was aware of the vote through Ruger Emails, I wouldn't have given a Rodent's keester about the results if we didn't have a Member...

Guidance for amateur on SW M&P9

Have one of the M&P .40's from before the change in the trigger assembly. Trigger was gritty, audibly so at a distance. S&W Service paid for shipping, cleaned it up nicely and it shoots well. The grip fits my big, loose-jointed hands comfortably, very accurate. The Slide lock will disengage...

How often did you shoot when you were younger?

With more than BB's or Pellet rifles, only Two or three times a year, I was lucky in having a few friends with Dads who shot as well. My old man kept his well secured by any reasonable standard, but all that did was teach me how to pick padlocks while they were at work. NEVER underestimate the...

Vote early and Often! (or at least once per day that is) 24% for you now, with 18% the runner up. Good luck Neighbor!

    Weird Gun Ideas

The weirdest thing I want is a Josselyn Chain-belt revolver, preferably built to handle hot loads ( Purely as a safety precaution of course) http://www.google.com/patents/US52248 Failing that I'd love a Volcanic, those Mare's Leg rifles just don't quite "do it" for me.
