Buffalo Guns - Butcher's Crossing Film

I saw it this past weekend. I noticed that necklace is replacement rifle that he had a young guy go back to camp and get was a Springfield 2nd Allin conversion .50-70. It would have been a better movie had Nicolas Cage been shown how to load cartridges.

Zoli / Navy Arms 58 caliber “ Buffalo Hunter.”

I guess I am confused on what type of statement Mr. Forgett made? Just asking.

Zoli / Navy Arms 58 caliber “ Buffalo Hunter.”

I was looking at one of these yesterday that was made back in 1972. If it had been fired, then the previous owners truly knew how to take care of their muzzleloaders. Beautiful rifle. I have read many times online where that people are calling the Buffalo Hunter nothing more than just a cut...

    Gunsmith needed

I am looking for a gunsmith who could bore-out a 357 magnum cylinder on a Cimarron Colt/style single action revolver to 10 mm. This would be for use in a Cimarron .38/40 Colt-style revolver. Maybe this conversion is not possible. Thanks for the info.

Dixie Gun Works “ Lancaster “.45 flintlock rifle

This one was made in Italy. The lock looks a lot like a L& R replacement.

Dixie Gun Works “ Lancaster “.45 flintlock rifle

Would any of you happen to know what company in Italy manufactured the “Lancaster” .45 caliber flintlock rifle that was sold through Dixie Gun Works? The one I was looking at was made in 1982 according to the Italian firearm year code “ AI.” Thank you for your time and information.

    Thompson Center Seneca

Well I decided to go ahead and buy the two barrel Seneca rifle set. $400 out the door. Now to get it home to clean and inspect the barrels. What is the best ball diameter for the 36 caliber barrel? Thanks again.

    Thompson Center Seneca

One of the first things that I did notice was that the barrel seems to be a lighter weight than a Hawken type barrel, and with that lighter weight, it seemed to me that it would make a nice walk-in-the-woods type gun. Thanks again to all for your input and advice on this.

    Thompson Center Seneca

A friend has a Thompson Center Seneca with both the .45 and .36 caliber barrels that he is interested in to selling me. The .45 caliber barrel is a bit rusty, but the .36 looks like it is unfired. He told me he wanted $400 for them, but I wasn’t for sure about the price, so I thought I would...

    Taylor and Company spencer Carbine

Thank you for adding the pics. What type of accuracy do you get with your rifle? Do you ever have any problems with the feeding mechanism when you are cycling a new round into the chamber? I am looking at probably selling my 1911 Schmidt Rubin with its bayonet and my 1880 Springfield trapdoor...

    Taylor and Company spencer Carbine

Yes sir, I agree with you 100% about the interest levels. I own both and AR-15 and an AK-47. Even though I enjoy shooting both of them, it’s nothing compared to when I shoot guns that are at least 100 years old, or are replicas thereof.
