    Scout style scope

Wait!! Before you go and do that, look at S&K Scout Mounts. http://www.scopemounts.com They have railed mounts that are applied in place of your rear leaf sight (should your rifle be ex-military). Before you do any other alterations, check them out. :)

    The next rifle to buy...

I am actually looking to buy a Steyr M95 Carbine this next week. I'm planning to scope it with an S&K Scout Mount (long ladder) , but I'm not sure which scope to go with. I'll do some hunting eventually but for now, it's for targets. what kind of scout scope would I need (under $300)for that...

Has anyone else had problems with "enhanced" SKS firing pins and Tulammo?

I bought my Chinese SKS at a gun show in November 2011. I disassembled it asap and found a firing pin that was different from the original type. I later came to find out that it was a Murray's "enhanced" pin. I went to clean my boltafter a weekend of shooting and found the pin had snapped in two...

I want to be a gunsmith. I would love your insight.

I am going to do this regardless. I will start small doing a thing or two in my garage and as the years go by my experience and number of jobs I can do will increase. As I said, I will take my time.

I want to be a gunsmith. I would love your insight.

If I am hoing to invest $10,000.00 in tools, that wil be completed in the next 20 years. Also, if you are still doing it, why are telling me not to?

I want to be a gunsmith. I would love your insight.

First, I am not going into this full time. I have a great paying job that I'm not going to give up. I will take my time. Second, I'm looking to take on-line courses from Penn-Foster Career College next year to earn a diploma in Gunsmithing. I intend to take this education and fix up mil-surp...

    Online gunsmith license?

Hey BellyUpFish, I'm looking to do some of the same things you are. I'm looking to take on-line courses from Penn-Foster Career College next year to earn a diploma in Gunsmithing. I intend to take this education and fix up mil-surp guns bought for cheap(in rough shape)and make them beautiful and...

What's the oldest gun you own ?

Hi, I have a 1925 (Hex) Izhevsk Mosin. It is an ex-Dragoon and was issued to an infantry unit. I would assume it was at one time a war trophy that somehow wound up here in the states.

Mosin Nagant - Am I the only one who does NOT like these?

I like mine just fine as well. I was really surprised by its power and reliability for an 86 year old rifle. I'm not so much a "purist" as it alot of others may be, so I would really like to install one of those Mojo micro-click sights on it ( maybe a front too) or a smith adjustable post.

Is it possible to float a 91/30 barrel?

Hello all, I have a 1925 Izhevsk Nagant (Ex-Dragoon). Is it possible to float the barrel and still use the upper barrel shroud? Is it even worth it to try?

    AES-10b = Opinions wanted!

That would be a really neat thing! I'm not too concerned with authenticity, just accuracy and durability. I just recently saw an AES 10 at a loal pawn shop for almost $550. I can't get it this time, but I would hope to find one at a gun show coming in March.

    AES-10b = Opinions wanted!

Is it possible to build one up using WASR (minus the barrel) parts? It's pretty much a long-barreled AK isn't it?

Thinking about buying a CETME .308...

Those look great! I'm not opposed to starting with a basic CETME platform and improving from there.

Thinking about buying a CETME .308...

My objectives are finding a good, solid, and very dependable semi-auto in that price range that I can pass down one day. I love target shooting and I'm not a hunter...yet. Small game would be a start maybe. I'm mostly into military types. I've got a 1925 Nagant (ex- dragoon) and a Benelli Nova...

Thinking about buying a CETME .308...

My budget this time I $550 tops! I've been considering getting a Yugo Mauser or a K98 for even longer than this.

Thinking about buying a CETME .308...

For me, money is a concern. I'm only going to the gun show with so much, ya know? I'm having a really hard time between buying either of these: WASR 10, C 93, Yugo SKS, CETME, or a Saiga .308. There are alot of differences to tell between them all, but a good solid accurate and long lasting...
