The MKII is arguably the finest of the Ruger MK series, it prior to them adding in all of the silly safeties I always remove anyway. I have actually switched to a buckmark for most of my bullseye shooting but still have a MKIV that I do shoot now and then. I'd buy another MKII but I'm getting...
To each their own but I won't trust my life with a .22. If I need something small in size I go with my sig 938 and actually don't even find the need for that very often
I don't and never would even consider using .22 for self defense. I do shoot a lot of bullseye with .22 and one of several I would never use is golden bullet.
I've got a MKIV and have had a couple of buckmarks that I've liked and a couple that I didn't. At the moment along with the MKIV I have a
Buck Mark - Medallion Rosewood that I absolutely love, the first buckmark that I've owned that beats the MK series in every way.
I agree with everything said and will add that pretty much every time I've called it's Greg himself that I have talked to, he is a great guy and can answer pretty much any question you may have.
I at one time had 6 CZ's but I'm down to just the P-07 now. Nothing wrong with them but I just found that I much preferred H&K's and Sigs, especially H&K's, they are now my primary carries, all hammer fired, cocked and locked
I've got an H&K USP9c and an HK45c. Love them both, they have been my primary carries for some time now and I've never had any kind of problem with either.
They do share duty with a couple of 1911's, I can't seem to get away from them.
My thoughts exactly, I own several CZ's but have sold a couple that I hadn't been using lately. I love them all, but the last thing I need/want is a striker fired CZ, well any striker fired pistol actually.
You might want to check some local shops, throw in a transfer fee and for $399 + transfer fee you will be paying only a couple bucks less then I got mine for a couple years ago.
For guns I always shop locally first.
I have no issues with Federal Automatch in either my Buckmark Hunter of my Ruger Mark IV or Mark III. However my Advantage Arms conversion hates the stuff.
You will just need to find something that will work for you, but try cleaning the chamber really well first, that may fix the problem.
