On my last visit to my local Walmart Sunday, they didn't have any .22 lr. The youngster in the sporting goods dept. also told me they haven't received any in months.
It seems like the quality of the newer products aren't nothing like the older ones from years back (what is?). I still have a old Sidekick (I believe) that I've had for many many years. It's just used as a field holster, but it's still in very good shape. It's held up very well. I'm not to sure...
I picked up a couple of 5.11 leather belts very reasonably that work pretty good. They have some kind of insert in them where they don't sag with the weigh of a pistol.
The only problem I've personally seen are the plastic parts breaking (mostly the safety tang). I've changed mine out to an aftermarket metal one along with the trigger guard.
While I haven't owned a revolver in many years, this would be something that would appeal to me. I also like the fact that it's a Ruger, which I'd prefer over a Charter Arms or Taurus.
It's been many years since I've owned one (Beretta 21), but I don't see the need for one since there are other pistols of the same size that use larger calibers. But that's just my preference.
