So the Moms Demand Action/Brady campaign sent out one of their mass emails, with a letter from a supposed "Gun Dealer" Chris Kitaeff who agrees with the Brady Campaign about how we need more background checks.
Turns out this guy doesn't actually own a shop, and his FFL#9-86-013-07-5J-05759...
It's a nice story, but it sounds like gun-propaganda to me. First hint was the words Alternative Media.
The picture used is actually from a March 2014 robbery from North Carolina. http://www.wxii12.com/news/photo-alamance-county-convenience-store-robbed-at-gunpoint-man-wanted/25179856

One time I ordered 38 acp accidentally when I meant to order 380 acp. This was back during the ammo shortage so I guess I didn't notice that the price was unusually high.

I can see someone looking for 38 Super Automatic accidentally buying this stuff.
So I saw this weird bolthead online and was compelled to buy it for some reason. I guess I was really curious. The guy said it was for a C-93 Borchardt but I knew it wasn't.
The case head marking diameter measures about .470" +/- .005, so I guess it was chambered in .45 acp or .308 or 8mm...
Most of the C&R guns I buy on gunbroker or auctionarms from private sellers. It doesn't even need to be military surplus, either.
I just bought a nice Winchester 1892 built in 1901 off auctionarms for cheap and didn't have to pay an FFL transfer fee which would have cost more than the C&R...
I wanna guess a Thuer cartridge or something similar for early conversions of Colt percussion revolvers.
If you google Thuer Cartridge in google image search and keep scrolling you'll see some more weird front-loaded cartridges.
No idea, but the 1968 GCA states a manufacturer requires a serial number and receiving a firearm whose serial has been "removed, obliterated, or altered" is illegal and nothing beyond that I could find that was relevant.
I wonder if the ATF is actually going to make us turn them in. I know it's illegal to deface a serial number and for a manufacturer to sell without a serial, but I can't think of any laws that are actively being broken by owning these lowers.
I didn't bother skimming the fifty parrot posts about "the rim problem," but if you want to take a look at the savage/stevens 340 magazine you'll see that it is a non-issue (for hunting purposes anyways) :)
They're having a vote again on the February 4. Try posting a 1 star comment in the review section - they cant delete reviews from what I understand. I already commented and liked our sides commentary even though it's probably not going to change anything.
Also, it should be interesting to...
They banned components (bullets, cases, etc) and nearly all gun parts after the Virginia Tech shootings. They lifted the ban on most non-evil looking gun parts in 2012. You can still buy loading tools.
Oh geeze, not this again. I challenge anyone to get my ip AND trace it to my home address. I will give 50 dollars to anyone who can do this without admin access.
How many petty thieves are also hackers?
Armi Jager AP-74 .32 ACP and Dreyse Light Rifle .32
Both are pretty hard to find and I've been looking for the first one for a while.
As for why I want one: I've been cursed with Grandpa's WW2-capture Walther PPK and I own a pistol and carbine version of every caliber I own (except this one).
Tell me the historical significance of this particular Mosin Nagant. There were millions of these rifles, should we just stuff all of them into a museum? Why do people care so much about resale value on $70 rifle? As for 'future generations' he made this for himself to use. After 100 years...
