Had nothing better to do on my day off

The NSA has your IP address and thus knows where you live and what you have.

No doubt they will add that photo to their dossier on you.

Nuthin' Better To Do!?

Dude, that's one of the year's "ten perfect days," and you never even stepped outside!

Thanks for arranging, posing, everything. I appreciate that proud effort and artistic expression. That is a really cool photo. The opposing, balanced, bright and shiny cartridges pouring forth from the military ammo cans is the best!!!

Nice arms, equipage, and ammo there too.

So, any thoughts, plans, come to you as a result of this!?

You can tell I have kids...the part I'm impressed with is finding that many markers with lids!

Seriously, that sounds like a great day to me. Enjoy your collection and remember to store your list somewhere besides the gun closet

Good advice. A memory stick in a safe deposit box is one option.

Even better, consider what you'd lose in a fire and take a photo catalog of your entire household contents. It still fits on a memory stick -- and invaluable if you ever make a claim.

Thanks for reminding me. (grrmmbblle grrmmbblle) I try to do that each time another one of those follows me home. Just realized how slack I've been recently.

Nice lookin' collection. Is that a 10/22 with a pistol grip stock and sidefolder?

Good choice. I have been knee-deep in Glocks and SIGs and FINALLY bought my first 1911 last month (Springfield). They certainly like to run wet but my perspective on how to shoot a .45 has definitely changed!

Well, that couldn't have taken long....I'll bet you wouldn't have tackled it if you had a really large collection.:neener:
Good point. Just never bought unto the 1911 mystique until owned one (have shot them but ownership is different).

something I should have done a long time ago just in case of a break in.

Call me crazy, but if a feared potential break-in was the reason for taking the photo, posting a picture of the entire collection you aim to protect on a public forum doesn't seem especially prudent.

Do you have any idea how easy it is for someone to get all of your information? I don't recall the thread, but a member here demonstrated it, and shocked/scared the poo out of another member who said he couldn't and dared him to try. It literally took minutes.

Yeah, when taking pictures using a phone which 8 times out of 10 come with the option set on to gps tag the photo... a quick 5 second look at the exif data will tell you where the picture was taken

Great rainy day project!

Loved the LAX on the ammo box. Immediately thought of getting that through the airport. :)

Where's the rest? :scrutiny:

;)
Hehehe. Exactly. That's all ya got? :D

I've been meticulous about keeping records for my guns. I have a spreadsheet on my computer that lists all the details such as make, model, caliber, year made, date obtained and cost.

The bad thing about the spreadsheet is it also tells me what I have invested in my guns.

I recently bought a new 24 gun safe. It's not big enough. :D

Oh geeze, not this again. I challenge anyone to get my ip AND trace it to my home address. I will give 50 dollars to anyone who can do this without admin access.

How many petty thieves are also hackers?

Nice collection! What's the year on the P1?

I don't believe that's the scope of this thread or forum.

I have no problem posting my collection on the web, because I think he odds of it being singled out in the massive data base of the Internet is small. I rather enjoy life than to worry about things with small probabilities

But, you can (and probably will) lose your $50 bet. A poster on this form (or maybe it was the firing line) made the same challenge and lost. A person can track you down from your post a lot easier than you think. It can happen.

Again, I live my life making reasonable precautions. I don't let bad guys completely dictate my life. So posting pics of my guns does not bother me, but if I were you I would retract that bet before you lose $50 ( or more, you did say anyone, not the first one, you may end up owing several people $50)
