I never considered helmet mounted optics, because my chief concern is bang in the night quick response, but with the advent of more affordable rifle mounted smaller thermal and night optics, are such optics a reasonable addition to SBR, or PCCs for home defense?
The obvious answer is that there isn’t a market for this combination.
I like bullpups and I don’t like the hassle of a SBR. Some of the problems associated with silenced bullpups might best be addressed with an integral design. A bullpup’s issue with blowback of gas when silenced and problems...
I love my Tavor X95 and thought that I could pickup a 300 Blackout conversion, but it has been discontinued. Anyone know what did it in? I’m guessing that running suppressed for subsonic was a tall order and reliability suffered, but just a guess.
Supposedly Aug is coming out with a...
I’m new to 9mm, but now have various pistols and PCCs. After years away from reloading, I have an inventory of 147gr. Sig V-Crown JHP, Zero FMJ and Missouri Bullet Company Coated subsonic FN. I decided to start with one powder and picked up some BE-86 and have Winchester WSP primers. This...
This is probably a really dumb question, but I thought it was worth asking.
Also, if I have a personally purchased pistol carbine, can I still SBR with ATF via a trust established after personally purchasing the pistol carbine without stock, or brace?
Thanks…
They have a partially, mostly incomplete, website and are able to provide (some) parts for the H&K P7 line of pistols. Beyond this, they have a configuration page to customize a P7 build, but no mention which P7. Looks like they are in the initial prototype stage. That said, there is some...
I’ve been following this issue in that I have an interest in this handgun. I thought that given the numerous reports of failure to feed, especially with heavier bullets, S&W would be interested in fixing whatever issue is causing this issue. Individuals have sent in their gun for repair and...
This new offering doesn’t seem to be getting much love in that I‘ve found just a few passing mentions.
Given the recent introduction, it might be of some use to mention compatible accessories.
Muddy River Tactical is now making an OWB Holster and Black Scorpion makes an IWB w/o claw. I’m sure...
My daughters have been improving their self-defense IQ and have been improving their situational awareness, pepper spray, bright tactical flashlights and swift feet. They have also been taking classes and working on understanding the law with respect to self-defense. I’m having them shoot a...
My daughter is 5'5", wants to try IDPA competition. She will need an OWB holster for either a 9mm 5" XD, or 5" Kimber 1911. So, looking for a holster with a bit of a drop. Open to suggestions.
Sierra provided 9mm and 9mm+P load data for the V-Crown bullets, but I haven't seen data for the Sportsmaster bullets. I was looking for the V-Crown, but all of you beat me to it. If I can't find information on the SM, I'll back off V-Crown data and use a chronograph to increase the load.
So, the 365XL with the Romeo Zero, or my Leopold Delta Point Pro are motion activated and I can see the advantage of this technology for a gun that sits in an unused draw, but how does this help when you are active and conceal carry?
I buy guns to use them. Purchasing a handgun that was adopted by various departments doesn't insure longevity. I'm thinking of my H&K P7/10s. I no longer shoot them because parts are scarce. I'm fond of 1911s, which seem to resist time, but what about the Staccato C2, or C2 DPO? I keep...
I was looking at building a P320 in California. It is possible, in theory, to build a pistol in California, but how do you meet the safety requirements and micro-stamping requirements? I don't think that this is possible.
Recently discovered Iraqi documents now being translated by U.S. intelligence analysts indicate that Saddam Hussein's government made extensive plans to hide Iraq's weapons of mass destruction before the U.S. invasion in March 2003 - and had deep ties to al Qaida before the 9/11 attacks.
The...
The original strike was designed to strike a blow at the U.S. economy. Now, we have mass devastation and an unknown impact in human suffering and economic woe. I don't know how the stimulus of rebuilding and the drag of unexpected expense play in the economy. High fuel prices will also take a...
I think that Bill Richardson of Arizona wants to be the Democrat's Moses and his timing couldn't be better. I also noticed that John McCain is hanging with the next Democratic candidate for President. So, I think that we will be looking at Richardson, or McCain as the number two. I know...
Rudy is much more liberal than I, but realistically.. which one would you prefer? Hillary has the big bucks and a great deal of political savvy. Recent polls report that the public is beginning to buy her move to the right. The Republicans haven't run a conservative since the great one. So...
Joseph Farah claims to have sources that suggest that cities such as SF and LV will sustain full atomic detonations on August 8th. This is the report broadcast recently on our local conservative morning radio broadcast. Farah uses this as a topic to sell his newsletter. If I believed this, I...
