Looking to get an AR, on a budget

Yeah used to seeing forward assist/dust covers on the m4, might be weird not having one. Ill look at the m&p and the psa kits... theres a lot choose from out there.

Looking to get an AR, on a budget

Ok, I'm currently serving. Momma gave the ok to get an AR... been on the wish list for a while. Have a budget of roughly 700 bucks. I know theres a lot of options even at this price point. I know building one is an option, but a little wary of it. You know my budget, looked at bushmaster qrc and...

High FPS video of bullet impact

Was just poking around on youtube and came across this video. Its pretty neat, really good slow motion of bullets flying into glass/steel plate/gel and other stuff. The shotgun at the end is cool. Its been highly viewed, just not sure if anyone has mentioned it on THR before. I know its the...

    .410 for deer hunting

Check out this. Its a index of some articles and tests written by a guy who hunts with a .410 and has some tests and product info as well as some advice and some things to consider for someone considering hunting whitetail with a .410.

    CZ-82 vs Kel-Tec P11

There is bass cased S&B ammo out there in 9x18 for ~$14/50. (online + ship) No experience with the Kel Tec, love my CZ 82. You cant buy 9x18 at your local walmart, but you can at least find it around online even when ammo selection is pretty thin in your traditional handgun cartridges.

Which Bulk .22 Is The BEST

Federal didn't seem to eject as reliably out of a Ruger MkII as CCI blazer or Winchester does for me. Anyone else get similar results?

    410/45 handguns

If your looking for something for snakes, small pests, etc. I've heard/read that you can make your own reloads with shot, or CCI makes shotshells for most common handguns varieties, .45, 9mm, .40, .38/.357, .22lr. No idea how they work in semi-autos, but read the reviews and they sound like they...

    newbie here, buying used revo

Peyton speaks the truth. I looked at Gunbroker too and saw similar stuff priced 550ish with 0 bids. Lots of 4" .357 revolvers in the $400-450 range at gun/knife shows in my area. Sounds like a good choice for a first handgun, I own a 4" .357 s&w (my first handgun) and cant say I've had the...

    Single Shot Rifles

I have an NEF in .22-250, its nice enough... honestly havent really given it a good workout, shot only fairly close range. I like it though, but cant give much of a review on it. The nice part is though the option to send it back to the factory to get another barrel or two. Im debating whether...

    Tourist knife design??

My favorite souvenirs from SA were those cork screw/bottle openers with the handle of a warthog tusk. My uncle made one for me and my father, and I bought one at a craft market for girl friend's father. Anything you could think of that could include tusk, or bone or horn into the handle would...

opinions on bull pup conversions for 10/22

Was cruising around on youtube the other day, and saw video on how to make a p90 replica using an airsoft gun and a 10/22. Looks fun if not practical.. might want to check it out. Here is the link to the first video, he has a number of parts to it explaining making the linkage and fitting all...

New to ccw, CZ82 tall (kind of) thin guy

I haven't taken my classes yet to conceal and carry... but its something that I've wanted to do and looking into places to take care of that in the Twin Cities metro (Mn) and Im sure Ill be asking all kinds of questions there, but as far as holster options go maybe I can get some ideas on what...

    77/22 or CZ 452

The CZ is sweet... I've owned a 452 lux .22lr a couple months now. No experience with the Ruger, and my opinion is not exactly an expert one but CZ is way more accurate than I am and its really an enjoyable rifle, zero regrets on that purchase. When I was first doing my fact finding etc. trying...

    Taurus 45/410 good for a carry/home defense

I think they are pretty interesting, but the .410 in a short barrel isn't as impressive as you might think. You get better performance from the .45lc load, but they seem pretty big compared to other carry revolver options. You'd want to check this out before going out and buying one I think...
