Bass Pro's corporate policy is that ALL firearms must be unloaded, locked by their staff, and transported directly to the range. (if yours has a range) If you open carry, what's the difference that and if someone picks up a rifle, shotgun, or pistol and compliments that with ammo the day of...
The BATFE transfer forms are required to be retained by the FFL holder for at least 3-5 years. (think it's 5 in the code)
That said, the NICS code states that the records are to be destroyed daily before beginning the next business day (for NICS, not your FFL holder).
What you should note is...
In all honesty, there's nothing wrong with learning on large calibers...it's all comfort level.
I was a .44 mag junkie and couldn't shoot a .22 or 9mm to save my life. It often looked like a shotgun pattern at 10-15 yards. It took purchasing my first XD to get comfortable with the 9mm and...
What we usually tell folks when they come out to the MDC range is:
Set a budget and stick to it. Allow for $100 in flexibility over your budget.
Decide if value for dollar, features, or brand name/reputation is most important.
Find what's within your budget. You might find firearms with...
The highnoon's a good suggestion.
Blackhawk makes an in-the-pocket that's reasonable.
IWB: www.crossbreedholsters.com (I have 1 for Baby Eagle .45 and 1 for XD9SC) Supertuck is great, but I also like the Quickclip. Have yet to try the S.O.B.
Galco, but get one with leather j-clips or...
Go with the leather belt. The nylon stuff has too much flex/give under the weight of a pistol. J-clips or otherwise. I have a set of the 5.11 tac pants that came with one of their new nylon belts and the belt doesn't agree with my Crossbreed holsters or my leathers w/ j-clips.
HK .45 Mark 23 Socom - Navy Seal model w/ slide lock, wetware, and ballistic carry bag. Absolute dream pistol and would love to shoot one!
Blaser LRS 2 or Tactical 2. This would be like shooting a very rare Stoner conversion to me.
You are supposed to be able to avoid the repeat delays by obtaining a BATFE issued NICS pin. I get delayed, but they have been calling lately the day before the 3 day hold to issue an approval.
True, they don't care if you make multiple purchases, but their regs with NICS show that they are...
Some folks from 2 different sniper schools that I've spoken with and served with have given mixed opinions on muzzle brakes and here's why.
Muzzle brakes are intended for multi-shot target reacquisition with speed and relative accuracy. The theory is that with a stable position and proper...
Federal Hydroshok
Speer Gold Dot (Fed's new hollow point ammo)
Pow'rball if you want a hollow point in a ball-style bullet (especially if hp's are illegal in your locale)
Guns had to be illegal and unregistered in Illinois? Now the US gov't is spending our tax dollars on this crap??!! Can you say perpetuate the cycle!!!
We really need to get him out of office along with his kronies.
The issue with the older gens wasn't the 6 o'clock hold. I had to aim at a head to get a center mass shot that was still to the left. My Baby Eagle is a 6 o'clock shooter and I have yet to see the nature of the problem I had with my PT145 in the BE II.
That said, I'm glad Taurus recognized...
He wants an AWB so he can stop the flow of weapons into Mexico? Seriously?
Sounds like the US Gov't needs to cease and decist all arms sales to heavily arm foreign governments. That's how the cartels are getting their arms...friggin idiots!
Anyone ever find the CNN video?
Sam, I think you mean Bar-Kleen. (sp) I think I've used it before with fair results.
Stay away from the Gun Scrubber (Birchwood Casey), it will damage the clear coat on the wood and will bleach out any plastic it comes into contact with. The CLP Powder Blast is a good alternative to it...
Could you have ordered the mag springs from MRI?
Charles Daly, would KBI be able to replace mag springs once they start shipping Jerichos?
Always good to have an extra spring or two in the shop-box.
Three different fits in the hand. Heard the same on the M&P regarding the trigger comp to the XD. Springfield does offer custom trigger work from the factory (costs extra). The Sig is supposed to be quite nice if it fits in your particular hand.
Just get all 3 and be done with it! Carry...
Ed Ames, think it was my version of the MilPro that was discontinued. When Taurus settled up with me they informed me that they were disco-ing the line my particular PT145 was in...revamped the line completely to correct some well documented issues as well as make some new options available...
